:DDD Kunst House is an independent contemporary art space founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic by curator Tereza Davtyan. Operating both virtually and physically, it is based in a private apartment near the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan, Armenia. Conceived as a response to the need for a free, non-institutional environment for artistic exchange, research, and experimentation, :DDD Kunst House supports local and international artists through exhibitions, residencies, talks, and collaborative projects.
Initially launched online during lockdown in Yerevan, the space developed through informal and spontaneous modes of collaboration, from digital exhibitions and conversations to studio visits and long-term artistic exchanges outside the frameworks of traditional institutions, museums, and galleries. Today, it continues to function as an open platform grounded in hospitality, dialogue, and process-based artistic practice.
At the center of its program is the Sleepover Artist Residency, an initiative inspired by Mladen Stilinović’s “Artist at Work” work, exploring rest, presence, and alternative approaches to artistic labor beyond productivity-driven structures. Since 2024, the residency has hosted more than 30 international artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.
